Reporting marks / Identifications : AOK, AOKX
Originally founded in 1888 under the name Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad (1894). Through the years, many bought and sold this railroad until 1996 where a couple (the Donoley), bought it. They started with 2 customer and have now, about 20.
They employed 35 employees and they have about 118 miles of tracks in the state of Oklahoma.
It gets weird here. According to my old Official Railway Equipment Register of 2007, the Arkansas, Oklahoma Railroad Company own about 28000 cars of all kind…..yet, according to some websites, they only own about 20 locomotives and about 15 cars. One website actually says that another company (Greenbrier) negotiated the usage of the "AOK" and "AOKX" marking …..(I cannot find anybody else to corroborate this information). Yet, if you look on their website; they spell there marking "A-OK", maybe this is a clue….

Ici, ça devient bizarre : Selon mon vieux " Official Railway Equipement Register de 2007, le "Arkansas, Oklahoma Railroad Company" possède environ 28000 wagons de toutes sortes….mais selon certains sites web, il possède seulement qu'une vingtaine de locomotives et une quinzaine de wagons. Un des sites affirme que la compagnie Greenbrier a négocié le droit d'utiliser les marking de " AOK " et " AOKX ". Je suis incapable de confirmer ou infirmer ceci.. Pourtant, si vous consulter leurs site web; ils épellent leurs marking en " A-OK "…est-ce un indice?
